The Functions Of Custom Footbeds

By Eliza Mendoza

Custom Footbeds are generally clothing in texture and feel. The material used to make clothes is still the same one that makes them. The material could be textile, velvet and cotton. The type of material utilized determines the comfort of the insole. More comfortable insoles are more expensive than less ones. These in fits have been in existence for a long time. However, they have been improved over the years.

These in fits are developed domestically or commercially. The process that is done at home is quite simple. The initial step is where the fabric used to make the in fit is gathered. The material could be old or even new. In the case it is old, it is dusted and washed.

The design is then created by a team of experts. The design includes the shape, color and size of an insole. The size of an insole depends on the size of the shoe intended to be fit into. The shape of the color could be white, green or even black. The type of color should match with the color of a given shoe. The material is simply died to the particular required color.

The next step is the cutting process. The design of the insole is coded into the program intended to run the whole process. By use of sharp blades, the specialized machines cut the textile into the shape for example a sigmoid shape. The cutting exercise is fast. The cutting is done to many fabric pieces.

Thereafter, cloths of exactly the same specifications are stacked together to form a pile. The height of the pile is dependent on the program fed to the machines conducting the operation. Between each cloth that is to be stacked onto the next, some glue is applied. The glue is to ensure that the components of the pile are closely adherent to each other.

Afterwards, the cut pieces are stacked together. The stacking is still done by machines. The piling determines the thicknesses of the insole.Thicker insoles are preferred for vigorous activities such as jumping and running. The piled elements are then stuck by glue. This is to ensure that they form a common unit. Knitting then follows. The knitting is done all round the edges to ensure that the various elements are fixed together. Commercially made insoles are of better quality than domestically made.

The insoles have several benefits. They help to improve the stability of the foot by reducing the strain on the ankle tendons and stability ligaments. This results to maintenance of that arch system of feet. The strength of feet is increased. It supports the foot structure and promotes a comfortable foot posture. The foot pad acts as a shock absorber. It works to reduce the impacts placed on the feet during various activities.

Custom Footbeds have helped to solve the problem of uncomfortable shoes. Most shoes being manufactured nowadays have incorporated them. They have allowed the feet to be flexible because they have been tuned to be convenient.
