The Last Airbender & His Utilization of Kettlebells

The Last Airbender, Aang, was intended to become the Avatar. To put it generally, an Avatar is a being who has supremacy over the bending techniques of all the elements. As these weights are made of metal, he could have included kettlebells into his Avatar training. This way of training is not just made for people, after all. Any single elemental training session could have utilized of the weights in one way or another.

While studying water bending, Aang could use water and propel the kettlebells. He could slip them into water and use a selection of methods to locate the kettlebell at the bottom of the water. He could also fine tune his techniques. This could be done by having someone throw kettlebells at him and him having to train to use water to defend himself.

As one part of the Earth bending in conjunction with weight training, Aang would manipulate the weights away from his body. He would take part in a series of exercises in which he would stop the weight from making contact with the ground. Aang would succeed in this act by taking aim at the ground, blasting parts of the Earth up at the weight. Once Aang had a firm understanding of this training, then it's possible that a higher level of Avatar training could open up for him.

Perhaps the most difficult endeavor for Aang would be in his sessions of fire bending. Prince Zuko would be the one to teach him, so it's easy to say that such training would become a challenge. I could see Zuko launching kettlebells in flame at Aang, who would be tasked to repel said shots to the best of his ability. This would be one way for a fire mending master to prove himself and it showcases just how useful the weights could be. Fitness authorities like Lorna endorse such weights greatly because of the versatile nature they possess.

Kettlebells are a versatile tool to work out with, and that's just from the general human perspective. If it were from the viewpoint of someone who is in training to emerge as the next master of the elements, it is truly useful. Keep in mind that the Avatar could use a simple kettlebell in his exercises to someday garner mastery over the elements. You can visualize what a normal human could do as well.
